I am too old for this!

So last night...or umm, I mean this morning was the opening of Twilight. And some of the girls in the neighborhood had the brilliant idea of going to the opening show. At midnight. I am old. This is much past my bedtime. But, I knew it would be fun. We all laughed as we hopped into the car...all commenting that we felt like we were sneaking out. Apparently we were far from the the only ones up to no good. I have never seen the theater so full...even on a weekend. They were showing the movie on 20 (twenty!!) screens and all of them were sold out! It was crazy...girls in prom dresses, picture booths, and pajamas. Crazy. The movie was good (not great). Not as good as the book. Some things I think they did really well and others, well just didn't work. I mean how could they successfully create some of the effects that are in the book? I kept wondering what people will think of the movie who haven't read the book. I enjoyed it (didn't love it)...makes me want to read the book again. Now, I know many of you have seen it...what did you think?

How fun. I am waiting to see it with my book club. We aren't seeing it until 12/2. How can I wait that long? I'm glad you guys had so much fun. You have to do that kind of stuff every once in a while. It keeps us young. :) Have a great wknd.

Awesome that you did this, Julie. I went to a midnight showing of the new James Bond film with some friends a couple weeks ago. Yes, we're old. But we don't have to live like it.

Great! I though I would fall asleep at the midnight showing. I went this morning at 10:30 AM. There were alot of ladies I knew there! - I liked it but I agree - it wasnt excellent - but good.

It was OK... some scenes I liked, a lot were corny. I think Bella was a bit dry and I didn't really believe her. Jaspar was hilarious - we laughed every time he came on screen. I wish he didn't look like he was in pain all the time. It was entertaining, not spectacular, but Andi thought it was "amazing".

I haven't read the entire book yet, made it to page 157. I'm not as disappointed in you as your ronifer brother is at going to the midnight showing, but was somewhat disappointed, or shall I say "bored" wtih the movie. The book had more time to develop the characters.
