We are right in the middle of potty h*e double hockey sticks, umm, I mean limbo. I bet you are all jealous aren't you. Good times. The Medeiros children seem to have the late potty-training gene. All my kids have been 3...maybe I'm doing something wrong? Maybe they just hate giving up the feeling of a wet heavy diaper? Who knows. I broke down and bought the Dora potty. I thought that Jenna might enjoying relieving herself in front of the TV. We've had minimal success....which is actually a lot of success considering I had never gotten her to "go" on the big potty. Last week she pee'd for the very first time on the potty (Dora, not big one). There was much jumping up and down. I promised her we would go get a treat. She pee'd her pants by the time we got to store. Oh well. I obviously missed the mother's class on potty training. Anyone still have their notes they want to share? Send any suggestions and good luck our way. We won't be going far...not in panties at least!

My very very least favorite task. Rest assured, ours were all 3+ as well. I worked very hard with Kenzie every day for a month with limited success. Then Daddy steps in one day and says, "Kenzie, do you want to use the big potty." The end. And yes, he does take credit for the "training" part as well -- clearly, we only had 2!

Oh I am so sorry! I too will be in that situation with Brooklyn soon ugggg. I think it isn't you it is sometimes the kid. Easton was way late (4) and Brighton was easy and did it with out problem at 2 1/2 or so. Funny about the Dad in the comment above...I do think it was a power struggle between me and Easton...so maybe having someone else step in sometimes might make it easier????
Geez Julie, I don't know what you're doing wrong. The first thing Tommy said when he popped out was, "It's about time! Have YOU tried holding it for 9 months?! Where's the bathroom?!"
So sorry! I feel for you! Have yuo done a sticker chart to earn a prize?
