Last week Josh had Jr. High registration. Mind you, we were two days late. Remember when I said I hated being "responsible mommy?" This is exactly why. I digress. Upon arrival Josh received his locker assignment. We headed down the long hallways in search of his locker. When we finally found it, he practiced a couple times. Lockers can be a bit overwhelming at first...especially that combination. ;) Next, it was off to get the infamous yearbook photo. (I still remember my carefully planned blue Espirit outfit I wore for my 7th grade photo) Then we headed to the gym where we had to prove Josh received his new immunizations and pay school fees before he was handed his schedule. After looking over his classes he immediately started calling friends to see if they had any classes together. Today we did a bit of school shopping together...he really wanted some cool plaid shorts to go with his new converse shoes. It was cute to see him get excited about his new clothes and new school year!

Locker practice and the all-important yearbook photo

This Jr. High thing is freaking me out! Jessi starts on Friday. It's a good thing we have such good kids. Let's just hope Jr. High doesn't ruin it :)
No Way! Jr. High already! I totally know what you mean about being the responsible mom...ugggh!
lockers - man - I remember my first locker...ours were full-sized though, even in jr. high, I was chuckling to see Josh on the floor with his. We don't start Jr. high until 7th grade, so we have one year reprieve. He's a big 6th grader this year, king of him domain... ;)

Why do they grow up so fast? I wish I had seen your kids while I was there!
At least there are lockers at his school. They are not putting them in here at either middle school. Bransdon is lugging all of his junk everywhere. At least he rides the bus and doesnt have to walk.
I remember those JR dreams of getting lost, not remembering combos, etc etc.
