If you are detecting a hint of bitterness over the start of school today, you would be correct. Year round school? I'm so over it. I miss traditional school. I am just not ready to put on my "responsible mommy" hat (not that I wear that one well). Reading minutes? Volunteering? Lunch money? Car pool? I just want to be left alone. I want my kids to sleep in and stay up late. And the fact that Josh and Jenna have traditional schedules only makes it worse.Complaining over.
Don't Andrew and Sarah look so cute for their first day of school? Yes, I know, they are looking so old!!! In spite of a short break from school, they were excited and ready to head back. Something about fresh crayons, new pencils and friends that always makes you excited for the first day of school!

I agree. When we moved I was so happy to ditch the year round schedule. On the bright side, at least you can avoid the crowds and take vacations while everyone else is in school. ;)
2 of your kids have year-round and 2 have traditional? How in the world did that happen? That's craziness! They should at least all be on the same schedule. I'm sorry!
Yes, of course they look cute! They always look cute! And we miss you too! I almost came to Utah this week. Someday...sigh.
I don't blame you for complaining. We used to have the same schedule and it was just weird. Some how everything works out in the end.
Agreed - Year round school would be very hard to get used to. I love our summer break and being able to spend time having fun with the kids. Good Luck with the knew school year...and I will be jealous of you when you get more time off during the year :)
Andrew and Sarah look so grown up and smart. I hope they don't get too jealous that Josh and Jenna are still on summer vacation.
I am with you- Summer is for sleeping in and staying up late and kool-aid stands and sprinklers-not school!!! I don't miss the year round school AT ALL!!! I do have to say that Andrew and Sarah look so big in that picture :( Where is time going? I remember when neither of them were in school-let alone year-round. So good to do lunch the other day with Josh (my Jo)and Jenna- Just like the old days. I love you.
